So I went to harbor freight and picked up a heat gun, sheet metal pliers and a friend gave me some alumiweld. So I used the heat gun on high to warm up the metal and used the pliers to get it straight.
Then I flipped it over ground the break with the dremil tool. I used the heat gun and map gas to braze the seem. My problem is that I could not get the fin hot enough to melt the rod. So I guess I will use jb weld. It is on the under side of the cylinder.
Does anyone have another fix?

Looks good from here to me already. Get some flat black spray. Spray in a baggie and use an artist brush to touch up. (there is an article on here or maybe youtube aluminum welding.

Since you already have it off the bike why not just pick up another cylinder for cheap and get it cross-hatched and put it back on the bike instead of the one you've got?

I practiced on some scrap aluminum before I tried working on the cylinder and was pretty successful with the alumiweld. I was going to use some high temp ceramic spray paint to cover it up. I was worried about vibration messing up that fin somehow.

I am cheap and I would have to bore it for a 95".
Thank you both for your replies.

That part takes many heat cycles..super hot and then cooling...stressed part.
If part must be re-used then a cosmetic approach might make for a longer lasting option.

I did use a torch. The heat gun was used to warm up the cylinder and prevent as much heat from being pulled away from where I was working with the torch.
