Default Stage Two Done Kury 24D Cams, dip in dyno curve HELP

So I had a stage two done with a tune and because of the pipe I am running (akrapovic short 2-1) we are getting a dip in the low end of the RPM's. The tuner (who is also a good friend) spent hours tuning it and he just can't seem to get rid of the dip. He is going to try and do some more tuning on it to see what he can do if anything. Just curious if anyone else has run into this and has any insight? I am happy with the numbers I am up 20hp and 17tq from the stage one numbers so major improvement.

Sorry, I am running a power vision tuner. As thought the pipe is probably the issue here but to be honest I don't want to spend money on a new pipe and I really like this one. I knew going in that this pipe would not be the best performer by any means. We are just hoping to level out the dip as much as possible but maybe its not possible. They had a built 110" on the dyno and had this same issue with rinehart true duals it was actually worse than this. Not sure if this is something I will majorly feel or not, i am guessing I would not feel this to much it looks to be about 10lbs of tq.

That's rough. That's a pretty big dip right where you do most of your riding Definitely ride it first for a while and see if it bothers you. Rinehart true duels are one of the worst violators for torque tips as well as any short pipe like yours. But in the end listen to the butt Dyno not the paper especially if you love the look and sound of the pipe… If not rip that sucker off.

Awesome thanks for the advice I know the tuner did all he could and is a great tuner so I figured the pipe is the culprit. I am not sure if he can try and tune that out a bit or if it is what it is with that pipe. I will say that I have extended bags without cutouts for a long two into one or duals so I am probably just going to deal with it.

Unfortunately I am in MN and wont be able to ride it for another 4 months. LOL

Seriously WG how can you expect low end grunt on a wide open pipe like that.....
Maybe you can find a baffle insert for it. I'm sure it will help the low end....

LOL I know it's not the best pipe for low end it is one of the better performing short pipes but obviously lacking compared to a long two into one.

Start saving your money for a D&D system. There's a couple in the Classifieds for sale right now as a matter of fact.

We used to manufacture 6061-T6 aluminum "torque nozzles" back in the day of those big 2 1/4" pipes that were w/o any baffles.
Tapered venturi design that hardly harmed peak hp, but piled the torque in, while still maintaining that big sound.
If you are void of baffles in that, we could manufacture a 1-off piece.
Would need dimensions.

Thanks Hillside

So if I were to remove the baffles you could make a one off piece? Sorry was a bit confused, the pipe does have a baffle/muffler on the end but its quite small and I would guess doing more for sound than back pressure. I would be interested in what your speaking of however and what i would be looking at for pricing.
