For you guys running an external breather system (like the ones from DK Customs or similar/custom jobs), what diameter hose are you using? If imagine something small is more than sufficient, like a -4? -6 if you just wanted to go that big? I would like -4, so just checking to make sure that wouldn't be too small for any reason. Thanks guys.
You are just venting crank case pressure; fumes and oil mist, so make the hoses any size you want. I use 5/16" from the breather bolts to a catch can and 1/4" from the catch can out.
I used -4 from each breather bolt and "tee'd" into a -6 to a Krank Vent, then on to a little breather filter. No issues at all. DJL's method is far simpler and cheaper. But I like the AN fittings and hose.
1/4" pipe thread tap in the air filter bolt boss/vent passage, adapted to -4AN.
-4 to -6 tee
-6 elbow and hose which goes to a Krank Vent under the motor
