My step son recently took possession of a 1994 Electra Glide that was his fathers bike. The bike has a new motor in it now. His father said something to the effect that a broken or loose motor mount caused the failure of the last motor. I have never run across this before. Have any of you herd of this before.

His plans are to sell or trade the bike in on a new Softail or Dyna.

 

Seen Softails that the engine was tied to the frame mounts incorrectly,(loose) break from the f/mount thru the C/L of the Timken insert, and continue to the rear mount.
Made a mess.

I wish I knew the whole story on it. But I guess with a new crate motor in, it will be fine.
