Stock 103 head damage on 2013 RG

I just had this same thing happen to me on my 2011 Street glide 103. It was ridiculously easy to do too. The breather bolt didn't even feel tight and still had about 3/8ths to go and TING. I didn't even know what the hell had happened until I saw that little piece of the case sitting by the spark plug.
FLTpilot has your JB repair still held up? I'm trying not to lose my mind.

Yes it is. Don't loose your mind! Just make sure the threads are absolutely clean when you put the JB On from below. Not down from the top. Sorry, just thought I'd mention that! I'm pretty sure I used brake clean and small pieces of rag to dry up the threads. Cover the area around the sparkplug with heavy cloth or paper towel and it's easier if the plug is out. Don't remember exactly what I did but it should be in my response earlier here.
Yea... it was easy to do. Just a little more torque and ping!
Don't know if it was needed but cutting a hair off the bolt seemed prudent since I effectively shortened the threads with the JB Weld.
I have several thousand miles on her since then. No issues. Good luck

I've had to fix this same thing before. Like the OP I cleaned the bolt holes and the bottom of the hole where the little piece blew off with brake cleaner and used shop air to blow dry everything. Put the breathers together using Harley gasket sealer (same thing used to seal cases) on the threads of the bolt that went into the damaged hole. Then I mixed up some JB Weld and applied it to the damaged area. No problems since.
