Lifters/Tappets and rocker arms quality?
I was wondering about the different manufacturers quality for lifters and rocker arms?, such as Woods, S&S, or Screamin Eagle.
Screamin eagle seems to be double the price of the others, is the quality that much better?.
When would it be necessary to change these out?, is this something to consider for a 107" big bore kit?

HD lifters are maintenance items. They generally need replacement if you have 30K or more miles, or when they start to get noisy. The current C lifters have problems and should be replaced anytime you're in the cam chest or changing cams.
If you're going to 107 I'd definitely replace the lifters.

I agree with the others. The current S/E's are junk. You can always rely on S&S and a few other quality suppliers.

The newer se lifters have larger needle bearings. Much better than prior design. Still pricey though...
