Considering the cam is available from a dealer, I think it will be popular. It should perform well with good heads; maybe a good fit with the SE CNC heads?
I was thinking that but the SE CNC heads start to flow less after .550 Lift. Maybe time to send my stockers to Hillside.

Crappy story - the fact that they totally screwed you over. Yeah - you're an adult and buyer beware, but I gotta ask if you knew there was a tail light warranty? And now you're stuck buying a new motor & transmission from the sounds of it. Supercharger is pretty awesome...

I've got a 120R.

It blew up once. It got all the bottom end treatment, and a long list of favours from R at Lonewolf. 662-2 cams. It has been running good, but the magic is what would I do if i was doing it over?

I'd consider the 124 from S&S I think. If memory serves, they give a year warranty. The 120 ST doesn't seem to show up on Google in North America [yet...?] Is the difference the cams?

Truthfully - I don't know how often I've hit the rev limiter on mine. I don't beat on it. I tour with it. I don't know if the 120ST is more for people 'like me' but like I said - 124" if I did it again. [Heck - I'd talk myself into the 143".]

- It snowed another 6"

I gotta go fire up the snowblower...

"Your honor, I want my money back because I put a supercharger on a motor and it blew up. I don't feel responsible because the guy that sold it to me should have known something bad might have happened even though he didn't build the motor or the supercharger" Have fun with that, LOL

Sorry for your loss 1BMF.

I found this thread because I am fixing to (southern term) buy a 2014-2016 Street Glide and want to put a 120ST in it. I read in the Harley book that it requires a 58mm air cleaner and a Screamin' Eagle exhaust. I want the D&D, but will buy the SE sue to the warranty.

I would like to know if anyone here has installed the 120ST, their thoughts and what are some of my other options besides the stage 5 tire shredder. I do some long distance riding, about 8-12 hours in a day, but do most of my riding around town, bar hopping. I want to go fast, but I also want reliability. I understand that the two do not go hand in hand, but would like a happy balance.

After hearing what 1BMF went through, I do plan on sticking with what "they" want to keep a warranty, but I usually do my own work and have done many of minor upgrades such as air/exhaust/cams to both my Evos and Twin Cams. It will still be a few months before I move forward with my venture and plan on starting a thread to document it.

I didn't want to high jack the thread, but it has been dead for quite some time and wanted to get people back to talking about the 120ST.

Thanks,
SWLAMedic

Not sure about the 120st but the local dealer here installs several 120r with good reviews. They claim that with a 58mm throttle body they are a very manageable and reliable touring motor. I would think the 120st would be even better for touring if set up right.

Save yourself some $$ and build a 110" motor around the new 4" drop in cylinder/piston kit; don't need the Stage V Tire Shredder although it's a decent kit. The 4" drop in cylinder/piston kit, your heads worked by a reputable porter keeping compression reasonable and a set of compatible cams suitable for touring is capable of putting 120/125 numbers and it is basically a top end build.

That is certainly an option right there.

I was looking at the 4" cylinders with pistons, maybe the MVA head and either 255 or 585 cams. Just browsing the Screamin' Eagle book. I guess a local shop could work the heads and save some cash.

I also don't like the idea of HD pipes. I would prefer something like D&D, Rhinhart, or Vance. I have Vance and Hines on my Ultra and I love them.

So...the question is, on a 110" 255 or 585 cams?

Neither one; Andrews 57.
