Default Andrews 48H or Red Shift 525?

Hi Everyone,
Planning on replacing my stock cam this winter and I've narrowed my choices to the Andrews 48H or Red Shift 525 grinds.
I'd like to hear back the opinions from other members who've installed either cam.

'08 Roadking 96"
Stage 1 air Intake
Stock heads
V&N Propipe
SERT Dyno

Thanks

Installed the 48 in a couple of Stage I 96" motors with good results. I have not installed the Red Shift 525 looking at the specs, I am thinking the Red Shift might be a fun cam but, like I said, have no personal experience with that cam.

Lots of people happy with the 48H in a 96". If I had a 96, I'd go that way myself.

Thanks djl !
What's intriguing about the 525 is the early closing intake valve and the big difference in centerlines. I'm thinking that the 25 degree overlap combined with the 0.05" difference in lift will keep the tq line high and to the right.
But, at a price difference of nearly $75.00, I might become color blind to the corrected/final dyno chart. Lol

The 525 only has .475 lift. The 527 would be a better choice.

That's what I am thinking but not having any personal experience I am reluctant to suggest that cam over the 48. If I was going to run the 525, I might consider a set of 1.7 ratio rockers on the intake side.

EDIT: I see you will keep the heads stock, so the added lift of the 1.7 ratio rockers won't be much help. Did the '08 Roadkings come with ACR heads? I think you will need compression releases with the 525 as CCP is about 190psi.

We've never used one of the Zipper cams here, but have installed the 48 many, many times.
Folks always seem to be very happy with the power.

Not really, higher lift but with a 36* intake close, the motor will be a turd compared to the 525; less CCP than the stock cam.

The OP is running stock heads and flow doesn't increase much between .400" and .500" lift and flattens at .500" lift., so .475" lift would be about right for stock heads.

I know nothing about the 525, but I have the Andrews 48 in my 96 and really like how they perform in a stock motor. Feel's like a new bike after the install
