Default Cam change and Power CDR/Vision

In the process of setting up a 2010 Roadking with a 255 cam change. Can I avoid a dyno and ECM flash if I install a power commander or power vision? Thanks!

I would say if you buy it from fuelmoto Ya probably. With that said if your not going to do anything else to the motor dyno tune it. If your going to do other mods and you just need to get by until your done so it only gets dyno'ed once then Ya im sure you would be fine. I just did cams and got a map from Jamie, I'm in the process of autotuning it now. I'm debating 107" and or headwork but either way I will have it dyno'ed before riding weather comes back around.

If you go with a PowerVision you should not have to have it dynoed. As previously mentioned, if you buy from Fuel Moto it will come with a map that should be very close. You then run a few autotunes to optimize the map.

The Power Vision will flash the new map to the ECM (flash tuner). The Power Commander is a piggyback tuner, and as such does not flash the ECM.

I recommend the Power Vision.

Fuel Moto sells both and other tuners. Call them to discuss. They are a great resource.

There is no substitute for a proper dyno tune; no map, auto tuned or not, will optimize power, fuel consumption and rideability like a dyno tune. Will a substitute get close? Maybe but I can assure you that you can take you best tweaked, auto tuned, Vtuned, whatever tuned motor to a competent tuner that is willing to spend a half day tuning and you will not ride away on the same bike you rode in on. I have seen it time and time again; guys just can't see spending the extra $$ is will make that much difference until they have done it.

(competent tuner that is willing to spend a half day tuning)
there's the rub finding that situation, fortunate if you do otherwise not so much.
cheers Bob
