As usaul this thread is full of good info from the experienced guys. Sounds like you are in good hands if you are using rc cycles. In our neck of the woods they are one of the top shops for tuning that beast when its done. Enjoy!

Where should I be looking for injectors? Any that are better than others? Sorry for my ignorance I'm trying to pick up on most of this stuff as I go

Edit: I see hpi has the 5.3 injectors, but the list two different part numbers

HPI-DINJ-1 for $285
HPI-LMINJ-1 for $180

They don't describe the difference between the two
the HPI DNINJ-1 are 6.2 (01-05) and the HPI LMINJ-1 ARE 5.3 for the late 06-14 models (you want the HPI-LMINJ-1)

I see that now, they had both part numbers listed in the drop down tab under 06-newer so it confused me but then I saw at the top of the page that DNINJ is for the earlier tc's. Thank you guys

Will do. I wish you guys on the forum were closer to me, but it's good to hear good things about RC Cycles from other quality shops. I know they've had a great rep for a long time but I've never had first hand experience with them for motor work. My pops had a 95" top end done with them and it made great power for what it was. I'm sure they'll take care of me on this build

Heard nothing but awesome reviews about Bob and his tuning talents. If I'm not mistaken, Dave Mackie is out that way too, isn't he ? Saw one of his 95" kits on a 2006 Street Glide on Youtube. Awesome burnout....All the advice given here will not steer you wrong. Your very lucky to have such talented people close to you,,,,I only wish I was in your neck of the woods.

Good Luck

Well I talked to DME today and they are going to make me a gear drive 598 cam, bad news is Andrews told them it could take 7 weeks to grind it and get it to them. They didn't previously offer the later twin cam cams in gear drive applications. Looks like I still got a few weeks to ride this winter before the tear down. I'm going to start ordering the rockers, tappets, pushrods etc... As far as pushrods, I wasn't going to go with adjustables since everything is coming apart anyway unless there's a benefit to them.. Is there?

Edit: Going with adjustable pr's
