Battery Drains, Turn Signal Brightens
I have a 2001 Sportster
When I bought the bike, I believe it had the original battery in it, that was 2009. The battery lasted until 2012, since then, I have had to replace the battery every year, usually about half way through the year.
So in 2012, I relocated the front turn signals myself, and since then my battery dies every year. Guessing this means I have a short, caused by the installation. Also, when I rev the bike high, the right turn signal, front and back turn signal brighten...
Not savvy with electrical, please help and tell e what it all means and how to fix it.
Thanks

If you had a short to ground, it would blow a fuse.
You need to make sure you have a good battery (have it load tested, auto parts stores will do it for no charge).
Make sure all electrical connections are clean, and secure.
Perform a charging system test, see the sticky at the top of this section of the forum.

It is just the right front and right rear turn signal, as well as the right turn signal indicator on my "Console". Battery is brand new, bought it last week, but been afraid to leave it hooked up when I park for the night or at work because If I have a short, it might drain and the battery... but maybe I don't have a short maybe it is something else...
