Default 1157 LED bulbs plug and play for turns?

Ve never had a bike with led turns, but know you need a resistor or something wired in when you do use them so they won't blink too fast. I'm putting smoked lenses on my '14 street glide and can't find regular red 1157 bulbs, all I can find are the led ones that plug in to the socket. Do I need a resistor or whatever or they'll flash fast, or is whatever I need there built in to the light?

Give these a shot if you don't decide to go with LEDs:

I've been looking at them myself and will probably buy them this weekend. I went with smoked lenses and then realized my turn signals were modified by the previous owner to act as running lights. So far no LEOs have said anything and I doubt they will to be honest, but I'm going to toss those on just to ensure there's no problem.

Thanks, I'll check them out if I can't find any locally. I hate having to wait a week for a $10 item to get here, hopefully I can find something similar locally. I've got my factory red lenses on the bike now, so when I get a red bulb I can put my smoked visor lenses on to finish the rear end. I thought about popping the smoked lens out of the visor ring and using some testors translucent red paint, but I'm not sure how well it would hold up so close to the bulb if I painted the inside, and I'd probably scratch it when installing the lens back into the visor if I painted the outside.

I bought 1157 plug and plays from eBay. They don't fit properly at all. I can't get them to stay in. Does anyone have any tips for this? Other than I shouldn't have cheaped out. I plan to replace with Radiantz.

was just in the same boat as you.

went to harley shop, bought smoked lens. wanted to put them on that day. went to parts shop and could only find LED bulbs in red.

problem: when you install those in both front and rear, they flash normal, but the indicator on the dash will give you a fast flash. and it is in my honest opinion that when flashing they are not as bright. almost like the power is cut in half. So i switched out just the fronts and took out the amber LED and put back in the amber halogen bulbs and no more fast flash. but i am sitting here trying to decide if i want LED in teh rear and halogen in the front.
