So I had my bike out a few weeks ago at night, someone pulls up says my brake lights out. Havent ridden it much so I went to Harley the other day ordered a bulb because they didn't have any in stock. I change the bulb, nothing. I read some threads about maybe a blown fuse, I change the fuse, it blows, try it again, blow another fuse, so I was looking for maybe a loose wire. Somehow I pull out 3 wires that were tucked down somewhere looks like the ripped out of somewhere. Now I am clueless to where these go, I look at the plug for the brake light and the wire colors match. The 3 wires are coming out of the main harness. I have some pics I tried to take. Just wondering if anyone has an idea before I drop it off to the mechanic and pay when it could be simple. Thanks for the help

 

one picture is a different wire that looks like its supposed to be spliced but its just a dead end not connected to anything. This is an 07 electra glide standard. everything works except for the brake light.

 

Colors for main rear harness:
Orange/White : Tail light Non Domestic Harley models
Blue : Tail light Domestic bikes
Red/Yellow : Brake light
Brown : Right indicator
Violet : Left indicator
(might be the other way around for the indicators)
Black : Ground

 

after staring at my bike and random wires I brought it to the shop. The 3 extra wires are extra wires for trailer lighting, that was that. But the pins were pulled out of the plug under the rear fender, guy said I mustve hit a good bump and the tire hit the wires. $120 for parts and labor, wish I brought it once I found them.
