Default Turn signal blinking too fast

I have a 2008 softtail and when I was out riding yesterday I noticed my left turn signal blink rate was two or three times faster then my right turn signal. I have had the bike for years and this is the first time it has happened.

I am not much of a mechanic, but my first thought was the turn signals on the left were not grounded properly. If there was a short, or lack of ground I thought that the turn signals wouldn't illuminate at all. I checked as much as I could and didn't find anything. The good news is that both front and rear signals on the left side flash - just rapidly.

Any ideas on what might be causing this? Any suggested courses of action to track the problem down?

Thanks!

It probably isn't seeded correctly or needs to be changed.

Check your ground connections. "Wiggle Test."

Guys,

Thanks for all the suggestions. I finally had a chance to change the bulbs, check the connections, and perform the "wiggle test". Works fine - except every once in awhile it will blink really fast.

I will keep digging.

Are you running apes ?
My son recently installed 16" apes and had the wire extensions in the kit , well one of the wires in the harnes was loose and made the left side blink real fast .
might be ur issue .
