removed battery to charge it an in a hurry snapped the trickel /battery charger cable does the bike need this to be able to star ..i took it off was tht the wrong move?

 

Are you talking about the pigtail used to connect a trickle charger/battery maintainer to the battery? If so, it isn't needed.
