Default Brake light not working

I bought a 2007 Heritage Softail new in 07 and had not a problem with it untill today,I added the turn signal kit and relay on it in 07 to use the turn signal as brake lights also, and everything works fine untill today. The back plate and reflector on my rear fender broke today,I went and got a new back plate and tail light reflector and installed it,a simple task 1 screw and 4 plug in jacks, but now everything works the turn signals and the tail light, but the brake light will not work ,nor will the turn signals light up when the brake is pressed,I figure it's either the relay went bad or the rear brake light switch is bad,has anyone out there had this happen to them, and where do you think I should start first, the relay?
Thanks John,From Baltimore

if the rear brake light swtich is bad, the front will still work

remove the brake/run/turn signal controller under the seat and plug the 2 ends of the stock harness back together. check it then. that will tell you if it's the controller.

also check the brake light relay that is located in the fuse box.
