Default Garage door opener..

Hi Guys,
I am wiring my garage door opener, to a push button switch..The only problem is I keep draining the batteries in the door opener..I do not understand it, a couple of wires soldered on the back should not do this..The switch is OK. Otherwise the door would keep opening...
Any ideas...Thanks. Brummie

i would take a gander and say that the switch you're using is a normally closed switch instead of a normally open switch. that will kill your battery in a matter of an hour or so...

I think the only problem is the batteries... so you need to change`s your batteries...

I don't know what kind of switch you're using, but I'm using a speedometer reset button(H-D) and haven't gone thru any batteries....

People having problems with a garage door should start by consulting the owners manual or downloading a copy of the owners manual from the door manufactuer's website.

I think you should consult your problem to the expert technicians and you should ask to others to guide you so that they will give you some advise.
