Garage Door Opener Question
I hope I'm placing this in the right forum. New here.
I recently installed the HD Garage Door Opener thingee on my '08 FLHT. Works like a dream.
In fact, it works so well, that I'd like to add them to some of my other, non HD bikes.
I was wondering if anyone had tried installing the transmitter on a non HD bike. Seems to me that it should be possible. I realize that I'd be on my ow for directions.
There's no connection to the FLs harness. It's just spliced into the headlight wiring. Electrons are electrons so this should work. Or am I missing something obvious.
Thanks,
Greg

looks pretty straight forward as long as the other bikes use a 3 wire headlamp systems like the HDs use.
if so,
black transmitter wire to black headlamp wire (ground)
white transmitter wire to white headlamp wire (+12v High beam)
yellow transmitter wire to yellow headlamp wire (+12v Low beam)
you just need to figure out on your other bikes which is high, low, and ground wires
