Default Rear blinkers not working

blinkers on my 1990 Classic stop working....pulled the rear harness out everything is looked good. If I unplug the rear from the front (Plug under seat) the front blinkers work...and blink. Plug-in everything stops working. I put a jumper wire (with it unplug) from purple to purple, to see if the plug may be bad. With the front blinking I put the jumper on and the blicker stop. Now I'm thinking Blinker Module may be bad...I don't know of a way to test it. One foot note here...My tail light is working backwards i think, really bright...step on the brake lights a little more. Just seems backward to me. Any ideas would be great...OH! blinker fliud is full. Been riding 42 years that one is way to old...lol Mike
