2010 FLHTP Wiring Harness in Faring
Hi I have a 2010 FLHTP I want to change the wiring Harness in the Faring to the civilian wiring harness. So I can plug in Radio and cruse control and the other gauges. My question is will the civilian wiring harness in the fairing plug into the main harness on my bike or do I need to change out the main harness as whell?
Thanks

I can't answer your question but you can probably check the HD p/n's for the main wiring harnesses for police and civilian EG's using this website:
http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....m_oem/hdmc.asp
Find the harnesses and go to check-out (you won't buy anything) and get the HD p/n's to compare.
Alternatively, do the same thing at a local HD store's parts counter using their civilian and police supplement 2010 parts books.
And even if they aren't the same, copy the diagrams in the parts book and compare the two. Chances are you can adapt your OEM harness to work with the civilian interconnect harness.
On my '04 FLHTPI, it was an easy direct swap of interconnect harnesses; but IIRC, that won't be the case with your '10.
Good luck with your project.
Also, consider posting your question in the Touring forum; you'll get a lot more views and probably get a more and better replies.
