Default Speaker buzzing

I have a buddy's 2001 Ultra on my lift. The right rear speaker has a buzz in it even with the volume down. Engine speed type buzz. It also has a Harley amplifier on it under the tour pack..The battery was going dead overnight, so as a test I unplugged the amp, andthe battery has been fine since. If the amp has a problem would it have those symptoms?

Thanks in advance

Mark

yes it would. sounds like the right channel of the amp is failing. Could be something as simple as a bad capacitor on the right channel inside the amp or much more complicated such as an IC failing. if the amp is still under warranty, take it back to the dealer and let them take care of it.

I hooked up the amp overnight, and the battery was dead the next day. It is either the amp, or the wires have a short somewhere..The outer fairing is coming off in about an hour. We'll see. The bike is an 01, the warranty is looong gone, he will be flying amp-less.

Thanks for your reply.
