Default Amp and speakers

I just bought polk audio 651 's for the back and 6051's for the front and a amp. Was just wondering if a person was to wire it from the head unit to the amp then 2 the speakers if you lose your audio controls at your hands, driver and passenger. I plan on sending head unit to ICA, for RCA outputs,as well as some other stuff while it is there. I am sure this question has been asked before but I couldn't find it. I will say sorry now before I get flamed, any answers on this subject would be appreciated .
Thank-You in advance.

Usually the remote would be from power to radio, the speakers run off the amp
