LED Lighting-Guide
I have been looking into the different threads concerning LEDīs and load equalizers, and iīm still a little confused. So iīm hoping for some LED-veterans to lay down the law, once and for all :=)
This is my view of it all:
LEDīs doesnīt create as much load as a regular 21 w bulb, resulting in too fast blinking, or blowing a fuse, might also create problems with alarmsystems. Q: Anymore possible problems?
The solution is to install a load equalizer that compensates for the "missing" load, Ex: 21w bulb = 2w LED = 19w load? One on each turnsignal/lighting. I have also seen cables with built-in load. One problem i find is that most LEDīs doesnīt say how much they "draw" Q: Other possible solutions, how do you measure the load on the LEDīs? And how do you install the load equalizer, just solder it between the LEDīs and the connector?
Other aspects: Model/year-differances? Choosing between cheaper, ceramic loadequalizers or more expensive, non-heat creating ones?
Am i somewhat correct or totally wrong?

You have a good working idea of what it is about. The load is not that inportant, you can get a 1/2 watt resistor and put it in line. There are many companies that have that resistor that they will sell. If the circuit is diodes then you need a load. For example the turn signals. The running lights would also unless you have any regular bulbs. I hope tha thelps. If not then PM me and I will try to explain better.
