Automatic Volume Control not working

My 1994 ultra classic tour glide's auto volume contol for the radio has stopped working. I know it's time to upgrade to a newer radio that I can use usb, i-pods and the like, but I still would like to fix this if it something not in the radio itself. Any ideas?

Call Radio Sound, HD's vendor of the radio: (502) 267-6768. Their customer service is excellent and should be able to help you diagnose the problem.
