Default Run/Brake/Turn Signal

2000 Dyna Wide Glide :

Can I change out my dual function (HD) brake/turn signal module, for the triple function HD module run/brake/turn? Are the connectors the same?

Will adding the two additional rear turn signal bulbs as full time power consumers take a toll on the charging systems ability to keep the battery fully charged? I have the HD LED tail light assembly so I may have reduced the demand on the charging system slightly there.

You don't want to run two modules in series or it will put a tremendus stress on your battery and possible burn it out. There may be a heat sink resister with you custom module. Check to see if it is running hot after your install. If ya can't touch it, there is something wrong.

I have no plan to run two modules....just wanted to know if I can replace the dual function module I currently have (brake/turn) with the triple function module (run/brake/turn). HD has the kit packaged and it specifically omits the 2000 Wide Glide...It states it fits 2002 and up. I believe this is because of the bullet style lenses that are in the kit...not because of the module itself.
