I was reading a previous thread with repect to changing speakers from 2 ohm to 4 ohm and was wondering if anyone has used HOG TUNES speakers and amp on a electra glide classic. What was the results? interested to know if you have more volume and clearer sound? Was it worth the investment?

Also, lower fairing speakers are offered. Does the lower fairing speakers help with more sound and volume? Do I loose my lower fairing compartments when adding the lower fairing speakers?

yes, plenty more volume with hogtunes and amp. I put the 3way for the freeway system with amp, lower speakers and rear speaker in the ultra. you can turn the volume the whole ways up and it stays clear. led zeppelin never sounded so good.

 

I have the HT fairing lower speakers and, yes, they mount in the glove boxes of the lowers. At firecap's suggestion, I packed them with Polyfil ($3 for a bag at a craft shop). Good addition.

Also have the HT tweeter pod which helps a lot without an amp.

My buddy has the HT amp and speakers and says it's a great upgrade.

 

I was wondering if I could replace the upper speakers first with a amp and see how it goes. Wondering if I could go with the lower speakers if I wasen't satisfied.
