Default Dead Battery Basic Questions-08 Heritage

OK, try not to be too hard on me...

I got an 08 Heritage back in Jan of this year. Like an A-hole, I left my accessories on when I came home. Needless to say, my battery was dead the next morning....ugh.

Anyway, my last Heritage was a '91 that I sold in '99 so I don't remember a few things and I'm not sure what else changed over the years.

Like the size of the battery. I don't want to jump it with a car if I'll damage it (obviously).

I have a little Yamaha battery charger, but it's doing squat. So, if anyone knows what size battery charger I might be looking for or if it'd be ok to jump it with my little Chrysler PT Cruiser would be awesome. Any help, info and edumacatin' would be appreciated.

You can jump from a car but you must be careful. Do not have the car running, it's alternater can put out to many amps. If you do start it with a jump be ready to take a decent ride of half hour above idle.
