Nothing When Ignition Switch is On
#23
It was ground terminal #1 that is in front of the battery box on the right side. Terminal #2 is in front of the battery box on the left side. The terminal the ground cable from the battery goes to is on the transmission, but it splits and goes to #1 also. So the transmission terminal grounds the engine / transmission and #1 grounds the frame to the battery. So with the ground cable to #1 not making good contact, it meant that the whatever was grounded to #2 wasn’t being grounded either. There in was my problem.

I hope so Paul. There was an old thread on here that described what was going on with my bike exactly. The OP only had 7 posts, so I know he posted just for help. If he found a solution to his problem, he didn’t come back and say what it was. It would have been a great help to me if he had. Of course he may have ended up taking it to a dealer and sometimes dealerships don’t give you every detail of what it took to fix your bike. Especially if they installed a new BCM and then found out it was a ground connection problem. Kind of difficult to charge for a BCM if you tell the customer it was a loose ground connection.
