Service Manual Corrections

Service Manual Corrections
Maybe this has been addressed prior but after spending the last few months using the 2018 Touring Service manual from Harley-Davidson, primarily in the wiring diagram appendix, I got tired of pulling out my hair. I just finished another wiring job on my bike so decided to check some things out. Here is what I found.
Harley-Davidson document number 94000451, 2018 H-D service manual for touring models published in 2017, reference #CMI-5M-07/17, includes a series of mislabeled figure numbers for the wiring diagrams in Appendix A. The format for the table lists the figure number followed by the title, ie, "Figure A-#. Diagram Title." When working in the document, selecting a specific figure number in the bookmark window on the left will take you to a specific diagram . . . supposedly the diagram that matches the appendix reference number and the title. After working with the document for a while it became apparent that there was something just not correct. Why would the diagram showing just the rear lighting be titled Main Harness FLH and not show any rear lighting? Because it is screwed up, that is why, so I decided to run this to ground.
Each diagram, in the upper left corner has a unique part or document number. Putting that number into the H-D on-line parts list brings back a title and an illustration of the diagram corresponding to that part number. Comparing the document part number and title to the part number and title referenced for that figure in the service manual resulted in 11 of the 34 diagrams being mislabeled, unfortunately, many of those I had been trying to use.
Attached is a table of the correct appendix figure references associated with their corresponding diagram part numbers and titles.
The URL for the on-line parts catalog in the case you ever need one is as follows:

PDF downloaded from H-D. When doing a large project I print out the sections I need in the order I need them and work to that with the electronic version for added reference.
Your question made me think, is the hardcopy the same or correct? My emanual may be corrupted. Good point.
