I see a lot of bikes with the spark plug wires reversed.
I have a 92 heritage.
Can I plug in both ways?

only if it is dual fire. however, you can do it on the single fire, IF, you also reverse the primary connections. 2 wire vs 3 wire primary connection coil.

 

 

appears to have only 2 primary wires so it is a wasted spark dual fire system. on this, both plugs fire at the same time, one on compression and the other exhaust stroke opposite cylinder.
i used to make money that way. first you must know your target then after a run, you say double or nothing and you can switch my plug wires. whoooo-hoooo got my drinking money for the night! very few people back then knew how hd was fired!

 

If the ignition system on your `92 is OEM, you can put the wires on either way.
