I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this. I have not yet had the pleasure of working on the fuel gauge. The needle does not move and there is no light.
Any help is appreciated.
On the tank there is a connector, the wiring diagrams will show what the resistance values are at full, 1/2 and empty. This is the same connector for the fuel pump, I would be willing to bet that the sending unit has failed.
This morning, when I turned the switch on, the fuel gauge worked for a hot minute. The light came on steady and bright and the needle moved toward FULL. Then it quit again.
