Stator Issue...

where is the fun in that? sunday school rider mentality. i own a harley so i can beat on my chest and shout out. (no not talking about anyone, just a rant)
thinking out the box has produced many things, even using computer aided apps still need human input. if one know how it works then he is in a better position to fix it. when something fails, why replace when perhaps some research into the failure may point to a better mouse trap. even rocket scientists do failure analysis.
i did not know that they made multi-layer stators for hd. there is an advantage in that the load is spread out and magnetic flux is amplified. it is like having 3 windings on one bobbin. there is a down side, if one layer goes south, the load is shifted to the others which will not carry the current.
