2016 Dyna Wide Glide Battery Draining
Hello everyone! Sorry I only come here to receive information lol but I have an issue that’s been present in my 2016 Dyna Wide Glide for a few years now. The battery seems weak all the time. I keep it on the batter tender year around but yesterday it came to a head. I disconnected the batter tender, started her up and rode to town for a while. When I got home, I decided I would leave her out and ride to work in the morning. Well morning came and she just wouldn’t start. Whirled over lazily until she just gave up. Keep in mind this is a newish battery at just over a year old now. So I decided to trouble shoot something with the key off and disconnect one of the battery cables and touch the terminal to see if I get a spark. Well I definitely get a spark and what sounds like some electrical components working for a second or two then stopping around the throttle body area under the tank when I reconnect the battery cable. Is that normal for the clock and computer memory and I just have a bad battery, or is there something draining it? Thanks in advance everyone!

The spark test you tried is not a test. All new vehicles have computers, security systems that keep a small draw on the battery. The term newer battery also means nothing. You have a few ways to move forward. 1) remove battery and slow charge it @ 2 amps for 24 hours and have it load tested. 2) https://www.fixmyhog.com/video/paras...-test-015477/#
