Default Dynatek S ignition wiring

Good day,
A quick question concerning the wiring of a dual spark (single Coil) dynatek S ignition on a Harley FXRS.
The white wire runs directly from the pickup to the back post of the OEM HD coil (towards rear wheel), the blue towards the front.

I figure the coil needs to be wired to the (switched) +12V as well?
If so, where should it go?
Manual is not very clear. Some mention with the white wire, but elsewhere the white post is mentioned being the negative side...

Thanks for your help!

If you have 3 wires coming from the Dyna S—
For dual fire- (two coil terminals) red wire to the terminal of the coil that receives 12 volts from ignition switch. Put blue and white wires on the other side of the coil.
For single fire- (three coil terminals) red wire to the terminal with 12 volts (center terminal). White wire to the terminal for the rear cylinder. Blue wire to the terminal for the front cylinder.

If you only have 2 wires from the Dyna S, white wire goes to the side of the coil receiving 12 volts. The blue wire connects to the other side.

you are correct in your assumption. on the point setup, you had 12v in to the coil and the trigger or ground going to the points.
you still need the 12v as this is what powers the electronic ign., the other wire is the trigger or ground wire that the module switches.
MOST IMPORTANT: the module will be destroyed if you hook it up in reverse polarity, instruction plainly states so.

Thanks both for your replies.
2 wires coming from dynatek and were already connected to the ignition coil. No ignition module.
The only wire not connected is the 12v (from battery)
So i hook this up together with the white.
Will try that!

Update:
Wired the coil as discussed above.
White + switched 12v on the rear post.
Ignition on, engine not running: constant 3.8Amp draw
Does this sounds right?
Thanks!

Default Bad coil?

Since I was getting some odd short/ground issues I did some additional investigation.

Appears the coil could be bad (resistance too low, getting hot with just ignition on)

Would that make sense given the symptoms?

EDIT: Coil looks good: between small terminals 3 Ohm, big terminals (plug outlets) 11.500 Ohm
So... I mixed things up ? Would the Dynatek white be negative, blue positive ?
Or is the HD coil (162088) positive at the front post, negative at the rear ?

Any help apreciated...!

Found it !
Dynatek module is shot... No resistance between - wire and ground plate.
That explains a lot. Bummer !
