The switches have always been marked with lettering or symbols denoting Off and Run.
When the switch is off, it is off...The engine won`t run.
It`s called an off/run switch.
But the Manuel calls it the “kill switch”. So, is it off when the kill is enabled/on? If it was a software function EngineKill() , the proper design would be EngineKill(On), would kill be the true condition of Kill.

That's odd. My Owner's Manual calls it the "Engine OFF/RUN Switch", and the description of its function is quite clear (to me at least).
