Default fuse box help

installing an amp on a 2014 SGS I blew a fuse and upon going to replace I noticed several things (this was a recent used bike I purchased and so this would have been how they had it set up)...

the main battery amp actually had a 25 A fuse but it looks like it calls for a 5. as you see in the picture I replaced with the proper 5A but am curious if there is some reason the prior owner would have had a 25A in it, other than laziness? should it in fact have the 5A as indicated on the diagram?

also notice no cooling fuse or relay...obviously I need to correct this, but also notice there are no metal contacts in the slots, and the one spare slot just has a metal contact on one side. is there a way to replace just the contacts or will I need a whole new fuse box?

There is no reason for the incorrect size fuse (in the event of a short using that 25A fuse, the wiring would have melted before the fuse blew).

Your bike does not have liquid cooling, there is no cooling fuse or relay.

I would guess that the previous owner blew the Batt fuse, didn't have a spare 5A so he used what he had, 25A. Dangerous thing to do. The reason that they spare 5Amp fuse has a contact on only one side is that the fuse is a spare. The circuit is not. They do sell fuse terminals. You can do an Internet search for them.

Isn't that the battery tender pigtail fuse? My guess would be the previous owner was running heated gear via the pigtail thus the larger fuse. Certainly not the "right" way to do it.

that does bring up another question....i did notice behind the panel there was a connector that looks identical to a tender pigtail connector. i was curious what this could be for? i didn't look to see where it goes to. i do have my own tender pigtail attached but its tucked up in a different location.

Yes, your bike has a tender connector. It goes into the wiring harness, and is protected by the 20A P&A fuse.
