Default Diagnostics error message

I ran a diagnostics check on my 2014 Dyna FLD Switchback with 3300 miles on it. All codes were clear except when I got to “Speedometer”, I got an “N” which indicates a problem. Continuing on, expecting an error code, I got this code - PN67096-12. After researching I discover that this is the part number for my speedometer.

Question is… does that mean the speedometer is defective??

There’s more to this story of course, but without going into it in detail I’ve been blowing my 15A access fuse and after nearly disassembling my bike and finding no exposed wires etc. on this low mileage bike it seems like it’s pointing to the speedo. Logic says it’s unlikely for a speedometer with only 3300 miles on it to go bad but back to the question…

When looking for error codes and getting a part number on the display does it mean the speedometer is bad??

Thanks in advance for any input you may have.
