Default Trim Ring on Daymaker to big...help!

Hey guys I installed a daymaker on my 13 street glide tonight. When i went to put on my after market trim ring it was too big! It fit perfect on the stock assembly but not on this one with the new bracket. The stock headlight trim fits fine (I took one off my fathers bike) but this one https://www.harley-davidson.com/stor...-11-6962799--1 doesn't seem to fit. Any suggestions on this or do I have to get the stock trim with the bottom screw?

I had the same issue on my 2013 Limited. I bought the Sunpie LED Daymaker clone and it came with a new mounting bracket. Everything went together well except the trim ring. It was too big and to my surprise the hole where the trim ring screws on at the bottom the new mount was not threaded! I ended up going back to the stock headlight mount and used my hand held grinder and just cut the aluminum backing plate out large enough so the headlight would fit and reinstalled. All is good now. There is probably an easier solution but I had zero patience.

I had the same but it wasnt a case of not threaded, stock sheet metal type screw was too small. Just used a larger screw and worked fine
