Default Multiple Warning/Check lights

I have a 207 Electra Glide. Recently (last 2-3 weeks) I have been getting random warning lights while I am riding, the bike continues to run normally. The engine check light, red key light, battery light, and a bus error message come on randomly and go off randomly while I am riding. Recently I had to change the battery and the negative battery cable after finding the cable had been rubbed in two by the drive belt. I have checked all the fuses and none see to be blown. The codes I have pulled are: U1300, U1301, U1064, U1097, and U1016. Any suggestions where to start looking for the possible problem?

Looking at the codes, it seems that there is a loss of the serial data system, maybe a loose connector, If you have the FSM look in the wiring diagrams and follow the serial data connections going to the ECM. It seems that you may have a connector breaking connection while riding.
U1300 Serial Data Low EFI
U1300 Serial Data Low Instruments
U1300 Serial Data Low TSM/TSSM
U1301 Serial Data Open/High EFI
U1301 Serial Data Open/High Instruments
U1301 Serial Data Open/High TSM/TSSM
U1064 Loss of TSM/TSSM Serial Data EFI
U1064 Loss of TSM/TSSM Serial Data Instruments
U1097 Loss of Speedometer Serial data EFI
U1097 Loss of Speedometer Serial data TSM/TSSM
U1016 Loss of ICM/ECM Serial Data Instruments
U1016 Loss of ECM Serial Data, Vehicle Speed, Vehicle Inhibit Motion or Power train Security Status TSM/TSSM

Could any of this wiring possibly be located in the front fairing?

Potentially, without a wiring diagram and a connector locator I cannot say for sure. But since it is a multi serial bus issue I would venture a guess that it would be closer to the ECM. I would even go as far to say check the plug and wiring at the ECM itself.

Thank you. I have a repair manual and I believe it has the wiring diagram in the back and it also has a CD with it. I will check it this evening after work. The reason I asked about the fairing was that I replaced the fairing speakers over the winter and I did not have any of these problems last summer and fall. Also the bike has a Dyno Jet Power Commander V installed which was on the bike when I brought it last summer but I did not know until about a week ago when I found it under the right side cover.

I hate to say it, but the PCV may be the culprit. It breaks the link between the ECM and the main harness so likely suspect.

I can disconnect the PCV and try riding to see if I get the same issues. Is the issue with the wiring harness that comes with the PCV or is it the PCV itself?

Difficult to say, most of the wires should be strait through but I'm not sure which ones are effected by the PCV. If you do disconnect it and it runs fine (lean) then you may just need to replace it either with the same or find a tuner that works for you.
