Accessory plug on 2018 Road King
I'm coming up short on a solution to get 12v power up to the nacelle so I can plug in a cell phone / GoPro via USB without connecting directly to the battery.
I ordered a wiring harness (p/n 69201750) after thinking I had done enough research to plug into the headlight harness or tip light under the nacelle. I didn't research that hard enough. That harness doesn't plug into anything I have.
I didn't want to fool with removing the tank, but have since acquiesced, and decided to plug into the aux port that is front of the battery.
But I don't have one? I can't find it. There are two plugs, picture below.
On the HD website it says the four pin plug is available for a cigarette lighter (p/n 69200971) for the auxiliary power port. I don't see that port anywhere.
What I do see, in front of the battery are these plugs. One plug has the red & black wire which slides onto a plastic rail. The other plug has the violet/blue stripe and green/black stripe. It is only a two pin plug. I haven't been in the schematic yet to see what those wires go to.
I'm going down to the dealer today and am going to ask them, thought I might find an answer here first.

Not sure on the newer Kings, but on the (up to 2013's I am sure), there is a set of wires about 6'' back from the bulb connector that can be used. Pull the headlight out and see if there is a orange wire with white stripe and a black wire along side of it. Orange wire will be positive and black is negative. If so, they will be "hot" when bike is running and dead if ignition is off. My buddy has a 2016 and needs a charging solution so I will be interested to see what you find...

I ended up talking to the parts guy at the dealership, the four pin aux connector that is sold was deleted on the 2018 Road King
I ordered a Electrical Connection Update Kit p/n #69201599A which he said would work. I'll know by Saturday if that's the solution. I'll get another plug for it and run some wiring up under the tank, that should fix the problem and I'll have plenty of places to plug in if desired.

it works
the connector mentioned above plugs into a dormant plug in front of the ABS modulator under the right side fairing
I plugged into that empty plug then ran a wiring harness up to the windshield bag after removing the tank that gave me two USB outlets at the terminal which I stuff into the windshield bag so I can power an iPhone and GoPro for example simultaneously and still have additional power ports under the seat
the ignition switch powers everything on/off and you have accessory power to the plug if need be
here's the USB info

Which plug are you referring to in front of the ABS Module? I have been trying to ID one in front of my road king

There's only one plug there, I'm pretty sure anyway, it's in a dummy receptacle so you have to unplug it, the one shown in the pic below
