2013 ultra classic voltage regulator
#2
I just replaced my original one on my 2012. I didn’t go back with the HD one, I went aftermarket. Are you going back with HD replacements or aftermarket? Mine is working fine for now, but i just put it on so too early to tell. Not sure why yours are failing so often. I’ll monitor thread because I’m curious.

bad ground
install where heat is trapped
corroded system components
over loaded system
wrong rating
remember, the system runs off the regulator and not the battery. once charged, the battery is a backup if the regulator can not keep up with demand. if you have aux equip, make sure the system has 20% reserve capacity, aka, 100a system with no more than 80a demand. this allows for transit loads and making sure the battery is taken care of, if not, then the regulator is running full bore.
