2018 Cruise Control Module

Default 2018 Cruise Control Module
So I just purchased the cruise control module 41000369, and upon opening the package I hear a slight "tick" as if something fell back in the cardboard box. I look and find a small hair pin. Anyone know where this fits in? Ignore the tape.
