Default right turn signal problems

I installed ape hangers on my softail deluxe. I'm having an issue with the right blinker control. I checked all the other buttons, stop light and start works. The blinker works too, except when I tighten the screw down on the bracket inside the control housing. When I turn the bike on to check, the blinker is already flashing and won't turn off. When I unscrew the bolt and pull the bracket out holding the turn signal, it works. I don't see any wires pinching. Thanks for any help in advance.

There has to be a short where the signal wires are making contact. Recheck, redo your connections.
