Default which bleeding wire

hi folks i picked up my 97 evo dyna last week and I'm in the process of removing the god awful stuff off of her , my problem is i need a wire diagram as the rev counter thing thats on it now doesn't work , can anyone tell me the colour of the wire the rev counter should be fed from as this is doing my head in it runs 3 wires and standard runs off 1

By rev counter, I am guessing you mean tachometer. It should have three wires going to it. One to the coil, possibly pink, a positive feed, and a negative feed.
