Default headlight upgrade ?

As a new HD owner I have been shopping for possible mods and accessories I might want. I see Kuryakyn has a super white H-4 headlight bulb.
It seems like a good idea to me but they have a disclaimer that this is for off road only. I assume I can ignore that but I would appreciate any input?

Thanks for the input Halljm, I looked up the Daymaker, guess I need to start saving up.
I didn't expect $400.00 for a new headlight. I'm finding out there are very few cheap options for an HD.

Wink

You can use any auto bulb of the correct type, such as H4 which is probably what your bike uses, simply check on-line auto-bulb suppliers, or your local auto parts store. If you are tempted to buy a higher voltage than stock you should consider also using a relay, otherwise you risk cooking your harness. No need to buy bulbs from high-profile brand bike specialists, when similar things are readily available. I've used various brands of bulbs over the years, but do have Trucklites on my Glide.

On Facebook find Paradise Lights LLC. You can get all three up front for like 115.00 Bright and extremely white. I believe I posted a pic on one of my threads.

Fuel Moto has a good H4 LED replacement bulb... $70, and sometimes on sale. Mine plugged right in, and throws out a lot more light. Not as nice as a daymaker, granted. But it is a lot more affordable.

I've had no issues in a 7" headlight with overheating. Look for 80/55s also.
