I'm trying to figure out if this wire/ contact is suppose to be getting hot when in the on position. It starts to get hot, but doesn't get to the point where it starts smoking or melting the wires. It just confusing that it's doing this. Can anyone tell me if its wired correctly, I attached a photo of the switch and the pen is point to where it gets hot.

 

Localized heating is almost always caused by a bad crimp or connection. I'd replace that wire.

 

Thanks for the reply. I think k it might be wired up wrong but I have no wire diagram and I got the bike this way. When i switch to accessories, nothing lights up or wont start. So I'm not sure it's wired up correctly and Looks like it had been replaced already, as the switch looks newer then the plate. If anyone on here has a wire diagram or can flash a photo of there wire set up, would be grate.
