Turn Signal and Choke Issue

I am reposting this item because I posted in the wrong forum. Newbie to the forum site here. I know they are not both electrical issues, but the electrical is my biggest concern so I posted here.
Here are my two issues...
Issue #1: Turn Signals:
I have a 1997 Sportster XL 1200 Custom. I recently bought and installed new turn signals. The signals worked perfect, but now it feels as if the right turn signal button is loose and I can't cancel the turn signal. If I press the left turn signal button, the right turn signal will turn on sometimes. I know all the wires are connected correctly.
I was curious if anyone knew if the issue was a stuck turn signal switch possibly? Or is the turn signal button defective?
Issue #2: Choke
The choke on my bike will not stay in the out position. Doesn't matter how much I try to turn it to get it to stick.
Suggestions?
I would like to fix the issue, but do not want to buy parts I do not need.
Thank you for your help.
