07 Street Bob side mount tail light wiring
I found a post that I believe answered this question. But it does not show up on the search anymore. Not sure what I typed in to find it. So I apologize if this has been posted a few times elsewhere.
I got a cheap tail light/license plate side mount off ebay. From China. Its got a 3 wire set up. Red, Yellow, Black. I figured out hooking the Red/Yellow, Blue and Black up to it. But my brake light only comes on when I hit the front brake. I know my rear brake switch works. I used it right before I took the stock tail light off. I do not have turn signals. As far as I can tell the Red/Yellow wire goes from the front brake til it connects with the rear brake and goes into an 8 pin connector (under the seat?). I cut my wires right before the 6 pin connector on the tail light. And looking at the circuit board the tail light and turn signals connect to, the setup does not appear any different than my stock tail light.
Thanks in advance for any help.
