Default Headlight Fuse Issues any help?

06 Ultra Classic w/29,000 miles.

Never had an issue with this bike and haven't added any new electrical items too it in over 3 years. Just recently I noticed my headlight would blow the fuse after riding. I could ride all day long and have no issues, but after stopping and then starting the bike, there is no headlight.

When I check the fuse it is popped. I replace the fuse and the headlight works. I can ride again, but when I stop and turn the bike off, it's always a question if I will have a headlight upon restart. Any suggestions?

I have had the front fairing off and while the bike is running pulled and wiggled wires with no shorting or blowing the fuse. Also when this first happened I noticed my fairing brackets had broken. I replaced the brackets and had no issues for about a week, then it started popping the fuse again, and yes the brackets are still fine. (I actually used a repair kit sold on e-bay to fix the brackets).

When your fairing brackets broke the fairing may have damaged the wiring to your headlight. While riding the wires could possibly short. Check along the wires to see if any insulation is damaged.
