You may want to check your statement regarding the fitment, I believe it only fits the fatbobs and newer wideglides. It appears to be the same one that I have. It is a nice set up.

 

Correct, the bobtail fender on the FXDF Fat Bob and 09 and up Wide Glides have a fender width of 9" which is wider than the other Dyna fenders. The lower side plates could probably be bent in to fit a narrower fender but would not be good to find out during install rather than knowing it before hand. I got a Kevin Jackson style similar to that off another member and it was about an inch too narrow but with some subtle massaging it fit my Fat Bob.
